Barrel saunas delivered to Edinburgh
Coastal chill
Edinburgh sits on the Firth of Forth, so even summer evenings can turn breezy, and the haar rolls in from the sea. A sauna is a natural answer, and the compact barrel is easy to shelter behind a hedge or fence.
Gardens and sea views
Many homes in Portobello, Corstorphine or Morningside have walled back gardens, while villages such as North Berwick and South Queensferry offer coastal plots. The panoramic back-wall glass option suits a view of the water.
A level slab base is enough.
Delivery and assembly in Edinburgh
The kit is shipped on a pallet by lorry with a hydraulic lift to the kerb. Plan on 4 to 6 weeks of production and roughly a week to arrive. Two adults assemble it in about two days, or our crew can come from £990. Narrow Old Town-style lanes can restrict lorries, so tell us your access.
Prices exclude UK VAT; import VAT and any customs charges are paid by the buyer on delivery.
Space and sightlines
Edinburgh gardens are often long, walled and sheltered, which suits a barrel on a small slabbed terrace at the far end. A glass back wall can face a tree line, a wall of climbers or, if you are lucky, the Pentlands or the Forth.
Send us a photo and the measurements and we will tell you which model sits best.
Sheltered corners and the haar
Cold sea fog can drift in from the Forth, so a position with a little cover from a wall or a hedge makes the walk to the cabin more pleasant. Keep the door side towards the house so you do not cross the whole garden in a towel.
The barrel shape sheds drizzle, and the spruce needs a yearly coat of outdoor wood treatment, which is a simple afternoon job.
Listed buildings
Edinburgh has many conservation areas and listed buildings, so contact City of Edinburgh Council before putting a structure in the garden.
Questions
Can I add a glass back wall for a view?
Yes, half-panoramic and panoramic glass back walls are options on our models.
My garden is in a conservation area. Is that a problem?
It may be. Ask City of Edinburgh Council about restrictions before you order.
Can the lorry reach a narrow street?
Tell us the street and any limits. If the lorry cannot get close, we can discuss options.
