Barrel saunas delivered to Manchester
Built for rain
Manchester is famous for its rain, which makes an enclosed, warm garden room appealing all year. Our barrel shape sheds water naturally, and the roof is clad to keep the interior dry. Outside, the spruce just needs a yearly coat of wood treatment.
Terraces, semis and bigger plots
Greater Manchester has plenty of Victorian terraces with narrow yards as well as roomy gardens in Altrincham, Wilmslow and Bury. A 2 m barrel fits the first; the 3 m barrel or a Quadro suits the second. Choose a sheltered corner away from overhanging trees.
Delivery and assembly in Manchester
One pallet, delivered by lorry with a tail-lift to the kerb or driveway. Manufacturing takes 4 to 6 weeks and delivery about one further week. Two adults can carry the parts, and the first build takes around two days. Our crew can handle it from £990, including the stove and lighting.
Prices exclude UK VAT; import VAT and any customs charges are paid by the buyer on delivery.
Looking after timber in a wet climate
Rain is the real test of any garden building here. Keep the sauna on a firm raised base so water drains away from the floor, leave the vents open when you are not using it, and coat the outside once a year.
Treated this way, solid spruce copes well with northern English weather. The instructions in the box explain the treatment and the vents step by step.
Stove choice for a damp climate
In a wet climate many owners like the wood-fired Etna 12, because its dry, steady heat drives out the damp. If you would rather press a button, the electric stoves heat the cabin without any firewood to store.
Permission
Garden buildings are often permitted without an application, but size, height and boundary distance matter. Please check with your local council for Manchester, Salford or Trafford.
Questions
Will the rain damage a wooden sauna?
The barrel shape drains water, the walls are thick spruce, and a yearly coat of exterior treatment keeps the timber protected.
Can I fit it in a small terraced yard?
A 2 m barrel often fits, but you need room to walk round it and for lorry access nearby. Send us your measurements.
Wood or electric stove for Greater Manchester?
Either. Wood gives the classic experience, while an electric Harvia stove is simpler where smoke could trouble neighbours.
