Barrel saunas delivered to Aberdeen
North Sea cold
Aberdeen is one of the colder big cities in Britain, and the wind from the North Sea is strong and persistent. Long winter nights make a warm cabin especially welcome.
The Etna 12 stove heats the 44 mm spruce cabin quickly, and the external stoking door keeps smoke outside.
Granite houses and country plots
Aberdeen is the Granite City, with solid stone houses and walled gardens that give good shelter. Cults and Banchory have roomy gardens, and Deeside and Aberdeenshire farms have plenty of space for a 3 m barrel.
Choose a firm slab base and a spot sheltered from the north-east wind.
Delivery and assembly in Aberdeen
The pallet travels by lorry with a tail-lift, to the kerb or drive. Allow 4 to 6 weeks for manufacture and a little more than a week for the longer journey north. Two adults build it in around two days, or our crew can do it from £990.
Prices exclude UK VAT; import VAT and any customs charges are paid by the buyer on delivery.
Lighting and long evenings
In Aberdeen winter the sun rises late and sets early, so the sauna is mostly used in the dark. The optional LED lighting is soft and moisture-resistant, and a warm interior against a black sky is a pleasure.
Plan a cleared, lit path from the house and keep it gritted in frost. A small porch or the terrace model gives a dry place for boots and coats.
Scottish rules
Planning in Scotland is handled by the local council. Ask Aberdeen City Council or Aberdeenshire Council about garden buildings before ordering.
Questions
Will it cope with Aberdeen winters?
Yes. Thick spruce, a tight door and a stove sized to the cabin make it usable all winter.
Do you deliver to Deeside?
Yes. Rural lanes need a quick access check, so send us the address.
Do I need planning permission?
It depends on the size and position. Ask your council before ordering.
