Barrel sauna kit delivered to Swansea

Bay, beaches and rain

Swansea Bay and the Gower coast attract surfers, swimmers and walkers. The weather is wet and changeable, which is exactly why a hot cabin at home is useful.

Choose a firm base and a sheltered corner.

Hills, bay and Gower plots

Many Swansea gardens slope towards the bay. The Mumbles has sea views; Gower villages have wide plots. A glass back wall suits a view.

A levelled slab terrace makes a solid base.

Delivery and assembly in Swansea

The kit comes by tail-lift lorry. Allow 4 to 6 weeks for manufacture and about a week for the journey. Narrow Gower lanes need a check; tell us your address. Two adults assemble in around two days, or our crew does it from £990.

Prices exclude UK VAT; import VAT and any customs charges are paid by the buyer on delivery.

Cold swims on the Gower

Swansea Bay and the Gower coast have year-round sea swimmers, surfers and coasteering groups. A sauna at home is a convenient reward after a cold session, and a good way to stay warm through winter.

The cabin heats in about an hour with a wood-fired stove, and the walls are 44 mm solid spruce.

Choose a position with some shelter, and keep the path from the house clear. On sloping Swansea hillsides, a levelled slab terrace is the usual starting point; mark it out with string and a level before you buy slabs.

Choosing between wood and electric

On a wet Welsh evening nothing beats a log fire, but an electric stove is the sensible choice for a short midweek session or a terraced street where smoke is a worry. Tell us which sounds like you.
