Barrel saunas delivered to Sheffield
Hills on every side
Sheffield is often called the greenest city in England, with the Peak District on its doorstep. After a day on the moors, a sauna at home is a natural reward, and the cooler hilltop weather suits wood heat.
Sloping plots
Many Sheffield gardens slope, in Ecclesall, Dore and Totley especially. The sauna needs a level base, so we suggest slabs set on a levelled area. A 2 m barrel sits easily on small terraces, and 3 m works on bigger lots.
Delivery and assembly in Sheffield
Lorries with tail-lifts deliver the pallet to the kerb or drive. Production is 4 to 6 weeks and delivery around a week. The first build takes two adults about two days. Our crew assembles from £990.
Prices exclude UK VAT; import VAT and any customs charges are paid by the buyer on delivery.
Planning the base on a slope
A sloping garden calls for a small levelled platform. Mark the footprint, dig into the slope at the high side, and bed paving slabs on compacted gravel until the surface is flat in both directions.
Ask us for the exact footprint of the model you like, and add a little extra on each side so you have space to walk around it.
Wood supply and storage
Sheffield sits near plenty of woodland, so dry firewood is easy to find. Store it under cover, off the ground, near the stove side of the cabin, and use seasoned logs only.
A wood-fired sauna reaches a good temperature in roughly an hour. If you want a quick session after work, the electric stove is faster and needs less planning.
Peak District
Gardens inside the Peak District National Park may face stricter planning. Ask the local authority before you order.
Questions
Can a steep Sheffield road take the lorry?
Tell us the road, the slope and any parking limits. If a full lorry cannot get close, we will agree a nearby drop-off with the carrier.
Is a sloping garden a problem?
Not if the base is level. A small slabbed platform, cut into the slope on the high side, is the usual fix.
Do you deliver to Hathersage and the Peak District?
Yes, subject to lane access. Check planning rules with the local authority or the National Park first.
