Barrel saunas delivered to Southampton
The mild south coast
Hampshire has one of the sunnier, milder climates in Britain, but winter sea winds still make an evening outdoors chilly. A sauna extends the garden season far beyond summer.
Coast, estuary and New Forest edge
Towns like Hamble, Lymington and Fareham have gardens close to the water, and Winchester and Romsey have larger plots. The New Forest edge has rural land, though check local restrictions there.
Delivery and assembly in Southampton
Delivery is by lorry with a tail-lift to the kerb or drive, around a week after 4 to 6 weeks of production. Two adults build in about two days; our crew assembles from £990.
Prices exclude UK VAT; import VAT and any customs charges are paid by the buyer on delivery.
Salt air and sea wind
Near the Solent, the air carries salt and the wind can be strong. A yearly coat of exterior wood treatment is important, and so is a sheltered position away from the most exposed side of the garden.
If you have a boat or sail, a sauna after a day on the water is a lovely routine. The cabin dries out quickly after use if you leave the vents open.
Boat people and sea swimmers
Southampton Water and the Solent draw sailors, paddleboarders and swimmers, and many of them look for a way to warm up quickly at home. A sauna in the garden does exactly that.
In summer, leave the door open after use and sit on the terrace. In winter, switch on the lights and enjoy a quiet hour.
Space around the cabin
Allow roughly a metre of clear space around the barrel for walking, ventilation and maintenance, and more on the stove side. Hampshire gardens are often lined with hedges and fences, so check that the roof curve and the flue do not clash with branches.
Permission

Questions
Do you deliver to Portsmouth and Winchester?
Yes, across Hampshire and the south coast. Send the address and we will confirm lorry access.
Does the New Forest have special rules?
It can. The National Park authority has its own planning rules, so ask them before ordering.
Is salt air a problem near the Solent?
Treat the exterior every year and open the vents after each session. Both are simple jobs.
